It can be hard to separate the legitimate work from home job opportunities from the scams, so I’ve done the work for you. Are you ready to find a new job?

Updated 10/7/2018

Working from home doesn’t have to be a dream. It’s a dream you can turn into a reality.

I know it can be really hard to separate the real work from home opportunities from the scams, so I’ve done the work for you.

Whether you want to work for one company, become a freelancer, or start your own business, I’ve got you covered! Here are more than 50 legitimate work from home job opportunities.

Employee Positions

For the sake of this article “employee positions” is simply referring to working for one employer rather working for several, as an independent contractor might. While some of the jobs listed below will offer employee benefits and W-2 type pay, most of them will not.

When you work from home the common theme is that you are responsible for paying your own taxes (an employer won’t withhold them for you) and providing your own health insurance and retirement plans.

Customer Service Rep (Call Centers)

Many US based companies such as American Express and Walgreens use virtual agents to answer their inbound customer service calls. These jobs typically pay anywhere from $8 – $15 per hour, depending upon experience.

You will need good customer service skills, a landline phone, and a computer with high speed internet. You’ll also need a quiet house. (Read: not ideal for the stay at home mom with young kids.)

Here are a few places you can look for work from home customer service representative jobs:

  • American Express
  • Alorica (Review)
  • Sitel (Review)
  • Convergys (Review)
  • Asurion
  • HSN (Florida, Tennessee, Ohio)
  • Hilton (Review)

Tech Support Provider

Tech support providers cover a wide array of tech related customer service questions for customers. And because there are different skill sets needed for different types of tech support jobs, the pay can vary greatly.

If you think you’re a good candidate for a tech support job here are some companies you might want to check out:

  • Apple At-Home Advisor (Review)
  • Convergys (Review)
  • Computer Assistant

Search Engine Evaluator

When you search for something in Google the search engine tries to bring you the most accurate results. But sometimes they get it wrong. That’s where search engine evaluators come in.

Search engine evaluators will rate the results that come up in search engines. These jobs usually pay anywhere from $10 – $15 dollars per hour.

Here’s where you can apply to be a search engine evaluator:

  • Appen (Review)
  • Lionbridge

Data Entry Worker

A data entry worker simply inputs information for companies into certain computer programs or types out audio files. If you can type relatively fast, have a computer, and high internet speed you can get a data entry job. Depending on the type of data entry you do, more specific skills may be needed.

get a data entry job

The pay structure can be per hour, per project, or per words typed. It’s also important to note that most online data entry jobs offer very low starting pay.

If you’re interested in finding data entry work here are some places you can check out:

  • Lionbridge
  • Xerox
  • Dion Data Solutions
  • Axion
  • Data Plus

Virtual Assistant

Virtual assistants help business owners perform a wide variety of tasks online. These can include (but are not limited to) things like scheduling social media, writing, making phone calls, drug selection, booking travel, managing email and more.

I’ve been a virtual assistant for several years, finding my own clients and making a very strong wage. (I highly recommend finding your own clients, which you can read more about in the next section.)

If you’re not ready to find your own clients, but want to try out virtual assistant work, here are some companies that hire. The pay usually ranges from $10-$18/hr. with these companies, although it can be more or less.

  • Time Etc. (Review)
  • Zirtual
  • Fancy Hands
  • 99 Dollar Social
  • Contemporary Virtual Assistance

General Transcriber/Transcriptionist

A transcriber or transcriptionist listens to audio recordings which could be anything from interviews, college lectures, or court hearings and types them into a document.

The pay for this service varies greatly so it’s hard to come up with a salary range. However in 2012 the median pay for medical transcriptionists was $16.36/hour.

**It’s really important to note that there have been several scams regarding transcription jobs (especially medical transcription jobs) so be sure to thoroughly research any company you’re considering working with.

Here’s where you can find transcriber/transcriptionist jobs:

  • SpeakWrite
  • E-Typist
  • Rev (Review)
  • Scribie (Review)

Document Translator

If you are bilingual you have a skill that is in demand.

Document translators translate documents from one language to another. You’ll need a good understanding of the language you’re translating so that you can convey the meaning of the first document in the translated document.

Here are some places you can find translation jobs.

  • Appen
  • Lionbridge

Online Tutor

Tutors have been helping students learn for decades. Now online tutoring has started to take off.

Online tutoring enables parents to easily get help for their children in a more flexible way than traditional tutoring has allowed.

There are hundreds of subjects in which you can find a tutoring job. If you have specific knowledge of a subject or second language then tutoring might be a good fit for you.

You will need a computer and high speed internet, at a minimum, to get started. Here are some places you can find online tutoring jobs.

  • VIPKid (Review)
  • Tutor.com (Review)
  • TutorVista
  • Rosetta Stone
  • Aim4A
  • Student Tutor
  • Studypool

Freelance Jobs

In the online money making world you’ll see the term “freelancer” a lot. As a freelancer you simply offer a service or set of services to clients. Instead of working for only one employer you may work for several.

As a freelancer there will be no taxes withheld out of your pay and you’ll receive no benefits. BUT you have the potential to earn a lot of money. Unlike working for a company you can raise your rates or look for new clients whenever you like.

Here are some possible freelance jobs you might be interested in.

Magazine Writer

If you have good writing skills you can make some serious money writing for magazines.

Pay can range anywhere from $50 – $1,000 per magazine article depending on the particular magazine and the article you’re assigned to write.

If you want to become a magazine writer I highly suggest you purchase a copy of the Writer’s Market. You can currently purchase a paperback copy for $35.29 on Amazon or the Kindle version which is only $9.90. This book lists hundreds of magazines that hire freelance writers.

This guide provides information such as pay rates, editors names, who to submit your queries to, plus more. You’ll be able to easily narrow down magazines for possible publication with this guide.

When it comes to working from home there really is something for everyone. This list has over 50 real job opportunities. (Completely scam free list!) There are tons of options, find the one the best suits your personality, schedule and ultimately, your life.Freelance Blogger

Freelance blogging is another in-demand area of writing.

The pay usually ranges anywhere from $20 – $300 per blog post depending on who you’re writing for and how long/detailed the post is. Freelance blogging is how I earn my income and is a topic I’ve extensively covered.

I have a very detailed post that contains everything you need to know on getting paid to write for blogs: How to Become a Paid Freelance Blogger If You’re Starting From Scratch

Copywriter

Unlike freelance bloggers and magazine writers who mainly write to entertain or inform readers, copywriters focus on driving sales.

As a copywriter you’ll write sales pages, sales letters, newsletters, and other marketing materials.

You can look at the job boards listed here to find copy writing jobs.

Virtual Assistant

A virtual assistant is an online personal assistant. As a virtual assistant there is a wide array of duties that your client may ask you to complete, depending on what business your client is in.

Some of the most common duties virtual assistants perform are social media management, email management, email outreach, scheduling of blog posts, finding pictures, and editing.

become a virtual assistant

Experience with running a blog and operating WordPress will be a definitive advantage if you want to become a virtual assistant.

To find a virtual assistant job I would recommend you send direct emails to potential clients. You can also look on job boards but advertised jobs tend to pay much less than ones you find by tapping into your existing network.

If you want to become a virtual assistant here are more than 30 services you can offer and here’s how to find the high paying jobs.

Here are some job boards you can look at as well:

  • Indeed
  • UpWork
  • People Per Hour

Web Designer

If you’re a creative type becoming a web designer may be up your alley. Some people learn web design by trial and error, while others learn web design in college or by taking courses.

Just as you would with other freelance jobs I suggest that you tap into your own personal network to find jobs. Creating a website that highlights your portfolio is another great way to draw people in.

Here are some other places you might be able to find web design jobs.

  • Fiverr – Use Add-On Options to Make More Money
  • 99Designs.com
  • Krop Job Board
  • Coroflot Job Board

Web Developer

A web developer builds websites from the ground up. This job requires a great knowledge of html and CSS and the ability to write code from scratch. Web developers generally build and maintain high traffic websites or develop software.

If you have creativity plus the love for technicality this can be a good career for you. Depending on the type of jobs performed web developers can make anywhere between $55,000 – $175,000 per year.

You can find web developer jobs at many of the same places mentioned for web designer jobs. It’s also smart to look on job search sites like Indeed, CareerBuilder.com, and Monster.com

Commission Based Online Reseller

If you love selling things online but have ran out of things of your own to sell, becoming a commission based online reseller could be a perfect fit!

Here’s how it works: you offer to sell items that other people want to get rid of for a commission. (I tried this and charged 15% commission) You then sell the items for your clients and take your cut when they’re sold. I would recommend that you draw up a contract for each client you take on.

You can sell used items online at Facebook Yard Sales, eBay, and Craigslist.

Here’s how you can find clients.

  • Start with your friends and family
  • Share your services on social media and ask your friends and family to do the same
  • Put an ad out in the local newspaper

Since many people don’t like the hassle of selling stuff themselves you could make a good income by being a commission based reseller.

Small Business

For the sake of this article “small business” means working more for yourself rather than a company like an employee would or for several clients/companies like a freelancer would.

Here are work from home ideas that with a little elbow grease, can turn into a small business.

Bookkeeper

My very first “real” job was a bookkeeper. I loved it and kept the job for seven years. I just recently discovered that it’s possible to start a from-home bookkeeping business.

In fact, work from home bookkeepers earn an average of $40,000/year!

If you’re good with numbers and have organizational skills this could be an amazing opportunity. If you’re not sure how to get started I highly recommend taking Ben Robinson’s free email course on getting started as a work from home bookkeeper.

Author

The only way I could get my budget to work for me was to earn more money. I tried countless work from home jobs before finally finding the one that suited me best. I figured that there were probably plenty other people like me searching for a good work from home job so I compiled this huge list of more than fifty legitimate work from home jobs!If you love to write there’s never been a better time to make money off of your skills. There are tons of platforms where you can upload and sell your own ebooks and print on demand books.

A little word of warning though: there’s much more to successfully selling a book than writing it and uploading it. You will have to market your book and also learn what criteria will boost you to the top of the lists in your genre.

If you’re interested in publishing a book of your own, you can sell eBooks on:

  • The Kindle Publishing Platform
  • Lulu
  • Good Reads

Blogger

It can be hard to believe but with blogging anything truly is possible but success only comes after a lot of hard work and a lot of time. (It took me around 3 years to consistently earn more than $4,000 per month blogging.)

If you need money fast blogging isn’t the career for you. You shouldn’t expect to make any money blogging until you’re about a year in. However, blogging is something you can easily incorporate in your life with just a few hours per week and could make a nice side job for you.

Here’s how to start a blog + 5 proven monetization methods.

Online Reseller

If you have a good eye for a bargain you can make money by reselling items. Keep in mind these don’t have to be just your items. Instead you can look for deals at yard sales, sales at retail outlets, or even consider getting your own private label products made.

(Pat Flynn has a very helpful podcast: Buying Stuff and Selling it On Amazon for 6 Figures a Year)

From my research Amazon seems to be the most popular place to sell items with eBay coming in second place.

Direct Sales

If you’re a good sales person, like hosting parties, and can find a product you love then direct sales could be a good fit for you. Some direct sales companies will allow you to market their products online and through catalogs. Other companies prefer you have one on one sessions with potential customers and also throw house parties.

There are tons of options when it comes to direct sales. It’s important that you take the time to weed through opportunities and find the one that’s most likely to be successful.

Some of the more popular direct sales companies are:

  • Scentsy
  • Herbalife
  • Avon
  • Tupperware

(To be successful with direct sales you’re going to need to interact with a lot of people. Keep that in mind as you’re looking for work from home job opportunities.)

Additional Work From Home Income Sources

The rest of these additional work from home sources will not provide you a full time income. They are merely meant to be ways you can supplement your income from the comfort of your home. These things are relatively easy to do and therefore don’t pay much.

I personally use a couple of these sources to help fund my Christmas shopping.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a program that allows you to earn points (points are called “swagbucks”) by using their search engine, taking surveys, participating in daily polls, redeeming coupons, and completing special offers.

supplement your income with swagbucks

You can redeem your Swagbucks for gift cards or prizes. Some of the most popular gift cards are the $25 Amazon gift card (which only requires 2200 swagbucks) and the Paypal gift card.

By only using the search engine as you normally would you can rack up quite a few gift card throughout the year. If you want to ramp up your earnings you can participate in the other offers as often as you’d like. You can also earn even more points by referring friends and family.

InboxDollars

What I like most about Inbox Dollars is the email reading feature. It only takes a couple seconds “to read an email” (which is simply just viewing an advertisement) and click the confirm button.

Just like Swagbucks you can also search the web, take surveys, and participate in special offers to increase your earnings. You also get a $5 bonus just for opening an account.

Keep in mind though that you have to make it to $30 before requesting a check. In my experience checks arrive in the mail about two weeks after you make the request.

Inbox Dollars Earnings

(This screenshot shows my InboxDollars earnings over about the course of a year. I always cash out in late October and use them for my Christmas shopping!)

Share Your Purchases with NCP

If you like taking surveys you might like National Consumer Panel. With NCP you’re sent an at home scanner or a link to download a mobile app. You can then scan your groceries and take surveys about your shopping habits to earn rewards.

You can get started with NCP here.

Take Surveys

In my early days I spent a lot of time taking surveys online. Taking surveys is definitely not a way to earn a full time income but is an easy way to earn some supplementary income.

  • Opinion Outpost
  • Pine Cone Research
  • Vindale Research
  • Life Points
  • Swagbucks
  • Inbox Dollars

A lot of the the survey sites will only send you a few surveys per month. You can maximize your earnings by signing up with several different sites.

 Mystery Shop

Mystery shopping is basically quality control for customer service. Simply visit a business or buy a product and then rate the businesses service. There are tons of businesses who use mystery shoppers to make sure that employees and branches are operating as they should be.

I’ve signed up for mystery shopping before but since I live in a small town all the jobs were so far away that the gas money I’d spend cancelled out the pay. However, if you live in a larger city mystery shopping could be a fun form of side income.

Here are some mystery shopping companies you can sign up with:

  • Best Mark
  • Sinclair Customer Metrics
  • Market Force

Also, if you’re interested Forbes has an article about a mystery shopper who made $14k a year doing this.

Test Websites

Companies pay everyday internet users to give their opinion on functionality of websites. While you won’t get a ton of these job the pay is pretty good from the time commitment (usually around $10 for a 15 minute test.)

Here are some places you can sign up with:

  • UserZoom
  • Enroll App
  • User Testing
  • UserLytics
  • UserFeel
  • UserBrain

Get to Work

I’m hoping there’s something on this list that suits your personality, skill set, and ultimately – your life.

Also please note, I’ve tried my very hardest to confirm the accuracy of all the sources mentioned in the list. To my knowledge every single one of the jobs I’ve listed is legitimate. However, I’m only human and sometimes I make mistakes. If you feel that one of these companies should be removed, let me know. Likewise, if you’ve had an awesome experience with a company that hasn’t made it on the list let me know in the comments and I’ll add it. If you are trying to start your own online business while working from home, you might look into car title loans to get funding you need to cover expenses while your home business gets off the ground.

Happy Job Hunting!!

What is the work from home job that interests you the most?

P.S. If you found this article useful or know someone who will benefit from reading it, will you please share? I’ll love you forever. (seriously 😉 )

Wow this is an awesome list that you have here! There are too many people out there who think that home jobs are all scams. This list obviously proves them wrong 🙂

I am a blogger, virtual assistant, website manager and more. And, I get to do it all from my home.

The nice thing about working from home is that you can pursue more than one type of job! I like the diversity.

There is a new company out there doing Translation and Typing services. It is called Global Typing Assignments LLC. The sites are still under construction so Calling the number or using the contact form is the best way to get a hold of them.

I’ve done transcribing and I type 65 words a minute. I’m not as fast as a lot of people. I’d suggest you do some practicing and get that words per minute up a bit if you want to make it worth your time.

Yes, it just depends what you’re looking to get into. For the past year and a half I’ve worked about 20 hours a week writing for blogs and have pulled in anywhere from $2,000 – $3,000 per month. Now I’m doing more virtual assistant work and in the next few months should bring in quite a bit more money. (I’ll also be working 40 hours per week though)

I think the best thing you can do to pull in a good full time income is to create a job around your skills. Feel free to email me anytime if you need help coming up with ideas or getting started – [email protected]

Hi Patrick, thanks for the comment. You can start by looking in to some opportunities listed on this post. Then, you may want to set up a professional website for yourself to market your services. If you have experience in a particular field, you can start yourself to potential clients. If you don’t have any experience, you may want to do a few jobs for free to build up enough experience to improve your chances of getting hired. Good luck!

I am a fast typist (62 WPM), but have found that you need to either know how to translate or transcribe. I have a hearing problem, so sometimes it’s hard for me to understand what is being said in a recording, especially if the person talks fast. Thanks

For people interested in it, I have a job that earns quite well and I can do it from home. It’s easy to work “around” the kids and I could also do it well during pregnancy.

It’s not for everyone, since it’s basically in the adult industry. But I work alone, from home, run my own business and I only do what I like. No one can tell me what to do.

I earn more when I work more and my basic income is surprisingly solid over the past 4 years. I don’t do webcam work as I don’t have time to sit around for hours at a time.

I know that blogs and “daylight” sites always exclude adult related jobs from their lists, but whenever I read lists like these where you can earn in a year what I can earn in an hour, then I think we should stick together and at least tell others about it.

I run a personal help website and I am not affiliated with any of the websites. In fact, I want all women who need money to be able to work independently from wherever they like.

If you are interested, stop by. And if you, Alexa, would like to know more or would at least add a note to your list that single moms can earn a real, full time income in the adult industry – on their own, no need to get naked or do gross stuff. It’s hard work though and I also basically work full time – with the exception that I work whenever I want, so I always have time for the kids.

Thanks so much Jen! I run into the same problem as you – everyone asks me how I work at home but then when I tell them it took me a year to find enough clients to do so they kind of lose interest. But luckily there are many other jobs that don’t quite take a year to break in to!

  4. Shelley says

    May 12, 2014 at 6:40 am

There are some good jobs on this list, but I just want to warn others that some of the gigs on this list are very low paying. Some Fiverr sellers do very well, but the majority of gigs don’t earn more than $50 a month. Also, keep in mind that if you are writing 1,000 word articles for $25 each for bidding site clients, you will burn out because you’d have to write a ton of those to equal the wages you’d make at a minimum wage job.

You might want to visit Glassdoor’s website to read employee reviews on what’s it like to work at Smarthinking as a tutor. It truly sucks! They required advanced degrees for tutoring jobs and pay as low as $10 an hour, without benefits.

    • Alexa says

      May 12, 2014 at 8:05 am

I agree 100% with you Shelley. Not all of these jobs are high paying. And if you have a service that you want to sell like writing, design, virtual assisting, etc. I find that it’s far better to market yourself and find your own clients. I’ve tried to point out which jobs aren’t going to be very high pay but I might have missed a couple.

I’ve personally not tried fiverr myself. I listed it because I have a friend who does very well with his design work. But he doesn’t just charge $5. He charges $5 for the very basic stuff and he makes the bulk of his money by his clients choosing the add-on services.

I’ll check out the review for smartthinking, too. I really appreciate your feedback!

      • brookst says

        May 18, 2014 at 8:36 am

I agree it would be hard to live off $50 jobs but for me I have a full time job and am just starting to get my feet wet in freelancing. An extra $200 month would be great. That would cover singing lessons for my daughter and half my monthly gas money. It’s all about what your needs are and starting out.

Would like to hear what you think about taxes and freelancing. It seems like it would be a lot more especially if you have no kids! But i don’t know taxes to well and how that works for freelancing.

    • Alexa says

      May 16, 2014 at 11:58 am

Taxes suck! The good news is that when you’re freelancing there is a lot of stuff that you can write off. I just did my taxes recently and was surprised by the amount of things I got to write off. Since I worked for an employer three quarters of the year and have a child to claim I actually got a sizeable amount back. That’s the good side.

The bad side is however, you’re responsible for all your taxes. Not just federal and state income tax but also self employment tax. When you’re an employee you get social security taken out of your check PLUS your employers sends in even more. When you’re self employed you’re responsible for all of that.

In short you need to save 20 to 30 percent of what you make depending on what type of credits and write offs you can take. Right now I’m saving 20 percent based on the advice of the accountant I used to work with but as my income increases I’m going to have to save more.

Hi Emma, Sorry to hear about your job loss and we hope things are going better for you. The jobs and resources in this post have been researched and they are legitimate. My advice to you would be to determine what marketable skills you have that could help you earn an income from an online job. Can you type well? Are you a skilled writer or editor? Do you have amazing organizational skills? Are you good at problem solving? If you are still in need of a job you should look into customer service rep positions or maybe even look into direct sales if you are a people person. Good luck!

Yet I didn’t start there.. as I looked through your list I had to chuckle.. as I remember doing the customer service from home.. See I’m a single mom.. my oldest is now 14 and I started searching for work from home opportunities when she was 1 years old.. I built everything up… and have been full time when my oldest turned 13!! Started by exchanging time for money.. with the customer service and that kept me in the place of having to exchange time for money.. so I decided to build my own business.. and this is what set me FREE.. Love your post as it really leads one through the journey of a VERY possible life.. Thanks so much for putting this information together. Keep Smiling!

This is a great and comprehensive article, but the website/search engine evaluating jobs and the transcriber jobs I checked out that I think I’d be a good fit for require 3-5 years of experience each, and as a college student, I don’t have that. Are there any decent paying (50-200 dollars a month) jobs that don’t require experience in the job field yet?

CPA offers are a huge thing today and will be for years to come. This is because you don’t have to sell anything yet simply get your traffics to take a specific action, such as fillout their zip codes, email addresses, or filling out forms. Advertises will pay you anywhere fomr $1-15 or more when your traffic takes a specific action.
Forget traditional affiliate marketing! Why would you spend your time and energy creating campaigns that are based exclusively on your ability to sell, when you can create the SAME campaigns that will pay you just for a visitors ‘activity’.
With CPA, you can get paid for every action your visitors ever take, from clicking on links, exploring websites, filling out mini-surveys, even just for entering in their email address. The possibilities are endless and the profit potential so incredible that new and seasoned affiliate marketers alike, are jumping ship from the old, outdated methods of making money online to join the elite group of high rolling CPA marketers! It Really Doesn’t Take A Rocket Scientist!..

This is quite a suggestive list. I am 32, turning 33 in Oct, and have 15 years in the Child Care field at a preschool, but would someday like to start working from home. As far as skills outside of Child Care as far as client relations & such, my other skills are crafting/bead making, professional organizing, and can type about maybe 50-60 wpm. Also was thinking of being an elderly companion, running errands, etc. Therefore I am wondering what I can really do from home with all this. I was thinking of creating some cards on vistaprint and just freelance as a Mother’s or Family Helper for those who have a rough time getting things done around the home, & who just don’t have the time of day whether it’s kids, relationships, family, etc. Would that make enough money providing I get a decent amount of clients? I am from south Florida just near Fort Lauderdale, so I’m just not sure. I know I don’t want to do child care forever, just cause it can be stressful at times. What do ya think? 🙂

And I also love the personal development you gain from an industry like this, you learn so much about yourself more than you could from any job working for someone else in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong it is hard work, you have to put a lot in to be successful, but when you are putting all that time and effort into yourself and creating success for YOU rather than an employer / boss the results are so rewarding!! If anyone is looking into getting on board something similar I am happy to pass on some info 🙂 Bec.

How much you earn is entirely up to you. If you can only spend limited time (maybe at start) you can earn $100 a day spending as little as an hour a day which is a nice supplement to your current income. Once you dedicate more time you can start earning a very nice income that can replace your current income. Dedicated members of our work-at-home jobs program can earn as much as $500 or more per day!

I created my own niche after my divorce last year by learning Google Adwords and now handle my own accounts and do contract work for a local digital marketing agency. I set up accounts and rehab / optimize existing ones. Adwords is a platform built for the small solo operator AND big corporations, so there is a lot within the dashboard to sort & sift through. I basically assist small local service businesses get set up right so they don’t continue to lose money. Plus I offer interactive lessons (not something many people do out there at all). Google Adwords is huge and growing (partly how Google makes its BILLIONS). If you love data analysis, marketing in general, writing on point & creative ad copy, and simply LEARNING, the opportunities are there for TRUE self-starters. You also have to have super attention to detail with spelling, etc. I don’t have a college degree, mind you, but was hungry to learn it all. I am at heart a teacher and helper (and have always been geared towards marketing). I have owned my own little businesses as a house cleaner and professional organizer and then segued into Adwords (after building my own cleaning & organizing campaigns). Did so after I had my 2nd boy in 10/2015 and one in K at the time. I had to find a way to work from home because the chaos of meeting the school bus and dropping off and picking up at the sitter was getting a little crazy. 🙂 I recommend looking into Adwords. You can even get certified. That is my next goal.

I am unsure as to whether this question is completely relevant or not, but: I am, or at least, would like to be a writer. I don’t want to sound overly supercilious, just truthful, but I have a great deal of talent and there is virtually nothing I can’t write. However, I digress. I recently wrote a short story, which, despite its length (9 pages) is really more like a sketch, but its very eclectic and general. What I want to know is where can I sell this story? It’s jocoserious and seriocomic and pseudoautobiographical, and while not overly sexual, does content overtly erotic elements, yet I’d never categorize it as erotica, which, though I can write, and good at it, I dislike to, viewing it as a diminishment and degradation of my talents; also, it’s trashy and overly simple: beneath me and all decent, talented writers in every way! lol.

Still, where can I submit this story of mine?

    • Ephraim Joseph Naphtali says

      March 2, 2017 at 10:40 am

I forgot to place the words “contains” and “am” in this comment. I should have used “contains” where “contents” is; and “am” should have been used in between “and” and “good” , which I have no interest nor use for-neither as reader nor writer. At any rate, I just wanted to correct those two glaring errors in the contents of my comment. Thank you.

Interesting article. Just for fun I thought I’d check out Market Force for a secret shopper job.
Very mobile UNFRIENDLY site. After 20 minutes of filling out a fairly standard job applicarion I finally arrived at step 4 of 7, where it asked my Race, household income, marital status, and whether I own or rent. Then a detailed physical description of myself. Also…if I had any disabilities.
I’m not sure how things work in the US but in Canada those are irrelevant and illegal questions to ask. I didn’t continue further nor do I recommend anyone else bothers with that company.

My cousin actually just introduced me online company called “Phone Tech” . It was featured in "SUCCESS from Home" magazine multiple times and it is very legit.
I was skeptical myself until he went to get his mail and his wife had received a paycheck and it was a four figure paycheck.
Now that I am with the business I am very excited to see what will come my way. If you would like to just check it out or look at the different offers the business offers to their customers, please contact me Whatsapp +79052839920 .
This company (Phone Tech) hires virtual assistants (who are fluent in English, for residents of USA only).

    Little suggestion:
Change font, not easy to read it. Or at least change the pink color for word with links, totally can’t read it and that makes me not to trust/click them

You have a detailed post here. I work as a virtual assistant and I can agree that it is a good way to generate income. I see you have mentioned surveys. I have not tried that yet but I believe it is also a good way to earn some dollars a month.
But I will try testing websites and see how it goes.

    Thanks.

Great article, thanks. I’m a Mom of 4, now a hands-on Nanna. Pretty hard to get things done when your kids are small. When my oldest was being bullied at school I was a single Mom and desperately needed money to pay for an alternative private school. So I became an ethical dog breeder. Twenty seven years on I’m still doing it and reckon it beats most other options out there hands down.

    Hey Debra,

I do a lot of what Chonce talks about in this article, using swagbucks and blogging daily. On top of that I work from home as a social media evaluator. It’s really simple, take me no longer that 30 minutes a day and pays around £300 a month! I would highly recommend looking into.
