For someone who doesn’t stay update to on sports, the Super Bowl is a good reason to throw a fun, family friendly party.

With the Super Bowl right around the corner now is the time to plan out your party and grab your supplies. Here are some ideas for throwing a fun football party on a budget.

Make Finger Food

With a three and five year old daughter finger foods are extra fun. Luckily, finger foods are also easy to make and can be pretty cheap, too.

Here are a few ideas for fun finger foods:

  • Pigs in a Blanket
  • Chips & Dip
  • Veggie Tray
  • Football Shaped Cookies
  • Cocktail Sausages
  • Pizza
  • Football Shaped Rice Krispie Treats

There are so many options and if you’re trying to stay on budget it’s smart to shop your pantry before heading out to the store. You may already have plenty of ingredients.

Play Games

Most adults will have their eyes fixed to the TV screen when the Super Bowl is airing, but you can still make it interesting. You can guess which team you think will win or who will get the first touchdown, what the final score will look like etc. You can check the odds at a site like bwin.fr

To keep younger children entertained you can have them put on a halftime show, color football related pictures, or play a football related pin the tail on the donkey game.

Other Ideas

If you’re inviting a lot of guests to your party you could have a pot luck and ask each guest to provide a dish. You should also determine your budget before shopping. This way you’ll be able to map out everything you’re going to buy ahead of time.

Throwing a Super Bowl party on a budget is actually pretty easy. Just be creative and use what you have on hand.

Have you ever thrown a Super Bowl party?
