How to Get Paid to Do Your Taxes

Taxes. They're something we all have to deal with whether we like it or not. Since you're going to be filing anyway you might as well look for a way to get paid to do your taxes. Here's one idea that can earn up up to $15.It’s tax time – normally I like this time of year. I’ve ended up with a pretty decent refund every single year except for this one. But hey, that’s just part of being self-employed.

Since I’m going to owe money I figure I should at least find a way to get paid to do my taxes. So I checked some of my favorite rewards sites and alas, Swagbucks has a deal for my favorite tax prep company, TaxACT.

(I have done my taxes with TaxACT every year for the last two years. I’ve tried just about every online tax prep provider you can find and TaxACT is honest to goodness my absolute favorite.)

Here’s how it works.

What is Swagbucks?

Just in case you’re new to Swagbucks let me do a quick rundown.

Swagbucks is a search engine (like Google) only they randomly award you Swagbucks for searching the internet. They also have surveys, special offers (like this one), coupons, games, and more which help you to earn Swagbucks.

It only takes 450 Swagbucks to get a $5 Amazon gift card! That’s a fairly easy amount to reach without a whole lot of effort on your part. I’ve been able to earn around $35 a month the past two months in Amazon gift cards through Swagbucks.

If you want to sign up but don’t want to take part in the TaxACT offer you can do so here. If you have an existing account here are easy ways to earn more Swagbucks.

Get Paid up to $15 to File Your Taxes Through TaxACT

Taxes. They're something we all have to deal with whether we like it or not. Since you're going to be filing anyway you might as well look for a way to get paid to do your taxes. Here's one idea that can earn up up to $15.If you have a Swagbucks account all you have to do is visit the TaxACT offer page and click through that link to file your taxes. (If you don’t have an account you can still click through the above link to create one.)

If you’re in a situation where you can file a 1040EZ (only a couple of W-2’s and no itemized deductions) you can use the Federal Free version of TaxACT, which is, obviously, free and will earn you 150 Swagbucks which is equivalent to $1.50.

The Deluxe Federal is priced at $9.99 and is good for anyone with several forms of income, credits, and deductions. You can get 900 Swagbucks which equals $9 for this option.

The Ultimate Bundle is $19.99 (which is a great price compared to other providers) and is good for self-employed people (like me) who have a little bit more of a complex tax situation. You get 1500 Swagbucks for this option which equates to $15!

Since I’m already planning on doing my taxes with TaxACT I’ll definitely be taking the extra $15!

Plus You Get Entered Into A $5,000 Drawing

I’ve never been one to go crazy for sweepstakes and giveaways. Until a couple weeks ago when I saw one of my friends win a $100 Swagbucks giveaway! (On another note at school carnivals my youngest brother would win everything. I never won a darn thing. Maybe I’m just unlucky.)

If you go through the Swagbucks link to file your taxes with TaxACT you’ll also be entered into a $5,000 Swagbucks giveaway.

Somebody’s got to win. You never know, it could be you!

If you don’t have a Swagbucks account you can go through this same link to sign up with Swagbucks and earn your free money.

_______

*My referral link is used in this post. That means if you sign up through my link and don’t already have a Swagbucks account I’ll earn a few Swagbucks at no cost to you. If you’re already an existing Swagbucks user I don’t earn anything but we both still get to earn free Swagbucks for doing our taxes! Win-win! 🙂
