July Online Income Update

online income reportI’m back.

Sorry for the brief interruption in blogging service. I had sworn to myself that I was going to stick to a blogging schedule, then life happened. And when I’m short on time I have to focus on the jobs that pay my bills, which unfortunately isn’t blogging.

In fact, the amount I post on this blog has nothing to do with the income it brings in. All of my blogging income comes from two posts that do really well in the search engines.

I did actually write a couple posts for this blog but after I reread them they came across really negative and I didn’t want to damper anyone’s mood 🙂

Enough of that. On to the good stuff.

July Online Income (Work Done in June)

July was an okay month. Even though it felt like I had a ton more work that won’t be reflected in my income report. The money I made in July pretty much all comes from the work I did in June.

Blogging $512.89

Freelancing (Writing for Blogs & Virtual Assistant Work) $1,757

Total = $2,269.89

So overall, not the best month, but not bad either. As a reminder my monthly budget runs around $1,400-$1,600 per month depending on how big the entertainment/fun money budget gets. Another portion goes toward taxes, and any leftover goes into the investment property savings.

Saving for the Investment Property

It shows on my savings page that I save $102.03 and $271.41 this month. I did transfer that money over but then I got hit with a double bill from the electric company and transferred the $271.41 back to checking.

I left it on there because my plan is to transfer that amount back after receiving some freelance payments this week. If I don’t take it off in the next couple of days then I added that amount (and hopefully more) back in there.

I definitely didn’t save as much money as I wanted this month but I had to buy school clothes, school supplies, and pay double for electric since the utility company screwed up.

August Should be Good

I’m hoping that August will be my record month. I’ve had a few opportunities come my way and I feel like I’ve gotten everything in my personal life straightened back out.

I’m really hoping to crack 3k this month. After that I’m hoping to keep that momentum going!!

We’ll see.

It’s time for some hard work!

Kailyn is Starting Kindergarten

One thing that has me a nervous wreck is that Kailyn is starting kindergarten next week. How could this be? How did my kids get so old so fast!!

We have open house Thursday. I am sooo nervous. Definitely not ready for my baby to start school.

This is also going to be a big adjustment for Ava. She can’t stand to be without her big sister for more than an hour.

Scary stuff.

Back to work for me. Going to make this a good month 🙂

What’s been up with you? Any new projects? Online income? School shopping?

Thank you! It always helps when I know what people like to see. But I love seeing peoples actual numbers too. It always motivates me 🙂

As far as Obamacare I don’t know. I think I might need to write a post to explain 🙂

Thanks for posting the update! It’s always fun to read about the progress of others.

My son is starting kindergarten next month too! I’m also a nervous wreck – mostly about the bus. Hope it goes well for your daughter.

Kailyn wanted to ride the school bus but I am not ready for that yet. They let kindergarden through junior high ride the same bus here and I’m not comfortable letting her ride with all the “big kids.” For now I’ll be driving her.

      Good luck to you!!

Hope you adjust to Kailyn starting kindergarten too! It’s not easy seeing your little ones getting bigger. Good luck on reaching $3K this month!

Welcome back! Our July was terrible financially and personally I’m hoping this month we get back on track. I remember when my little girl went to kindergarten I was so emotional. When I found out it was all day kindergarten I was devastated it was terrible. Thank you for sharing your June income progress. Take care, Alexa!

Thanks, Brit. It’s all day Kindergarten here too. I’m just so nervous about crazy stuff like her getting lost in the school, or not making friends, it’s all probably irrational I just can’t help but worry.

i dream of having a job where I’m my own boss. I have a child that has mental health issues and my life would be so much easier if I could be home or at least close to home and had the ability to be here for her in a min notice without the constant worry of losing my job if I have to leave to tend to her needs. It sounds great but how do you get started. Any advise?
