Chances are you’ve heard of Hilton hotels but did you know that they hire work from home positions?
They actually hire for two different work from home roles: customer care and reservation sales. The pay is pretty standard for at-home customer service but they do offer a benefits package. They’re also rated a 4/5 stars on the big job review sites which implies they’re a good company to work for.
Work at Home Positions with Hilton
Hilton offers two different at home positions available in 29 states.
The first position is Reservation Sales Specialists. Reservation Sales Specialists are the first line of contact for customers interested in making a reservation for a Hilton hotel or resort.
The second position is for Customer Care Coordinators.
Customer Care Coordinators provide customer service support to Hilton Honors members with their travel needs. If they want to make a reservation, book a spa service, or reserve a table for dinner, Honors members call the Customer Care Hotline.
If hired, you’ll be required to attend online training sessions. These are available Monday-Friday at a variety of times and each session lasts about 4 hours. You are allowed to schedule your own training session with a max of 2 per day and you will need to complete 14 sessions, approximately 56 hours.
Technical Requirements (Plus what they provide)
Working with Hilton, there are a few things you’ll need to provide for your work environment and some that Hilton will provide for you. You will need to provide:
- A distraction-free work area, free of background noise and distractions. A space with a door you can close is preferred.
- Computer monitor.
- Surge protector.
- High-speed wired internet access (wireless internet is not permitted).
Hilton will provide:
- Thin-Client/mini PC.
- Keyboard and mouse.
- VoIP headset compatible with Thin-Client.
- Flash drive.
- Ethernet cable.
If VoIP is not available in your area due to internet connectivity, you will be required to provide your own home phone service and with corded headset.
What Hilton Pays for Work at Home Positions
The base pay for reservation sales team members is $9 per hour + incentives. Incentives are based on sales and performance goals and can earn you up to an additional $2.00 per hour.
Although I couldn’t find any concrete pay info for the customer care coordinators, according to popular job review sites the pay seems to be in the $8-$11/hr. range as well.
Hilton also offers medical, vision, and dental insurance for full-time employees, a 401(k)-retirement plan with company match, and paid time off. You will also have access to a team member travel discount program as well as recognition and development programs. The also promote from within so there are promotions and leadership opportunities available for those who excel.
