Everyone wants to make money from home, but many options require a bit of money to start out with. This can make it hard to get started, especially if you are starting on a small budget. Luckily, there are free ways to make money online. Let’s check them out.

1.    Take Surveys

Earn money for sharing your opinion by taking free surveys online. How these free survey sites work is that marketing companies and departments pay to find out what consumers want. So, they hire survey companies to survey actual consumers like you.

All you need is a phone, computer, laptop, etc. Assuming you’re reading this, you already have what you need. Just sign up with a trusted survey site, like Branded Surveys, fill out your profile, and start earning by taking quizzes. Most sites will pay you via PayPal or gift cards for taking their free paid online surveys.

2.    Sell Stuff

Everyone has extra items in their closet or home. Take some extra time to clear out the clutter and sell all your unused items online. Whether you have extra clothes or dishes, someone will be interested to buy your goods on sites like eBay.

You can even try selling homemade items or crafts. Sites like Etsy are great for selling your handmade items. The great part about selling your crafts is that you can profit from the hobbies you already love doing!

3.    Freelance

Are you a writer? How about a musician? Programmer? If you answered yes to any of the previous options or have some other skill that could be contracted out, then you should try freelancing. Freelancing involves working for yourself through contracts. All you need to do is sign up for a freelancing site and get started.

The service you offer will determine what you need. Freelance writers, for example, only need a writing medium, typing processor, and internet connection. Musicians will need different tools, like the instrument and recording device. Chances are, you already have the items you need if you are thinking about freelancing!

4.    Become a VA

Virtual assistants are similar to freelancers in that they are contracted out to provide administrative assistance. This makes it a great opportunity for organizers and neat-freaks working from home. With a simple computer, phone, and experience with administrative service, you’re on your way to becoming a VA.

5.    Transcribe

Make easy money by becoming a transcriptionist online. Tons of sites pay beginner transcriptionists to transcribe various recordings or videos. Most sites require you to take a transcription test, fill out a profile, and start transcribing once you pass the test! Don’t worry, most sites give you more than one attempt.

Recap

Make money from home taking surveys, selling old items, or freelancing. Any one of these ideas can help you increase your pay all while working from home. Best of all, they don’t cost a single dime for start up, making them great options for those on a budget.
