I hope you all had a great weekend!
Working from home is kind of crazy. Sometimes I think all I need is a couple hours per day to get things done and then there are days, like the past few, where I swear I’ve wrote enough blog posts to compose a book.
Sheww! I like it though. I feel like I get so much more done when I have a lot on my plate. For some reason I feel more motivated to work when I have a longer to-do list. Plus more work equals more money, which is awesome, too!
Kailyn On Money
When I recorded my first video for this blog Kailyn wanted “to be on TV” too. So we recorded some videos of her talking. Here is a real short video of her talking about Mommy paying money. It’s less than thirty seconds long but definitely my favorite.
And, now she can feel like a TV star….
Dion Needs Some Support
Dion guest posted for me a little while back on How to Make Money on Fiverr. Come to find out Dion is also an aspiring inventor.
He emailed me a couple weeks ago about an idea he has posted on Quirky.com. This was the first time I had ever heard of Quirky.
Apparently, Quirky is a cool site where inventors can post their ideas and have them voted on. If they get enough votes the product idea could get chosen for development.
Here’s some more about Quirky, how you can earn from it, and Dion’s ideas straight from him.
Hi, I did a post a while back on making something of my online self using fiverr.com, and I was so overwhelmed by the response that I’m back to let you in on another little secret of mine… I’m an aspiring inventor with quirky.com, a place where you can be apart of a community of inventors and create products that change the world. You can finally create that mockup of “walk to you slippers” (however simplistic) and watch it blossom into a must have in the home or office. You’ll also earn influence, (aka cash money) for chiming in on ideas, naming inventions, voting, and research.
There’s even more to share about what is possible at quirky.com, but I think you should venture on over there to see for yourself why even after rejection from being insanely close to having one of my ideas created, I continue to dust myself off and keep trying. While you’re there, please vote for my latest and greatest idea. For now it’s referred to as, “Magic Coin Bank“, but that is most certainly tentative as someone (maybe you) will lend their 2 cents and wound up earning ~3% of the product should their name be selected. Contributing at quirky.com is yet another way to earn a passive income online, and you’re going to be amazed looking through the shop at all of the products people like you and me create daily.
What are you waiting for? Head on over to quirky.com and check out how social invention has become!
Happy Monday
I hope you have a good Monday. Sorry for the hodge podge of a post I need to start scheduling things out better. 😉
Have a Happy Monday!

Your daughter is adorable. I will purposely be hiding your post from Mrs. Done by Forty as it will likely inspire her to want to make one of her own, like, right now…and our plan is to wait a few more years.
I hear you on the longer to-do list being an effective motivator. If mine is too short, I can pretty much procrastinate indefinitely. Maybe that’s why I never get through the entire list?

That’s the most precious video!
I certainly get more done when I have a longer to do list. It’s like an “oh crap I need to start getting things done now” moment.

I can totally relate to you on being more motivated/productive with a longer to-do list. Some nights I come home from work and show my wife my “to-do” list that I want to accomplish that evening. She usually doesn’t even want to see it because it’s so ridiculous! I usually don’t finish every single thing, but I get quite a bit done and that’s all that matters.

The video of Kailyn is SO cute! We’ve actually heard of Quirky before – doesn’t it seem like an awesome concept? I’ll head on over there now and check out Dion’s idea. Happy week to you, Alexa!

Cute video! Did she say that you like to fly kites? =)
Alexa says
Yes – and we never fly kites lol. I also never “style” hair….unless brushing or putting in a ponytail counts
