The girls are at their dads this weekend so I am heading to the lake with a friend today. I am going to try to do a little relaxing, cleaning, and job hunting this weekend. Nothing too exciting đ
Good Posts From the Week
I grew a garden this year, although its looking to be a late bloomer. Plus, my dad has a huge garden which I regularly pick from. I have never canned my own vegetables but have always been interested. That’s why I really liked this post from Keren Food Preservation: Canning Corn I made some homemade salsa which was pretty darn good here recently, but not enough to can.

Freelance Jobs
I managed my time very well this week. I ended up turning in the majority of my work at least a day before it was due. If I can keep managing my time like this I think that I can fit in several more jobs while still working the nine to five.
In terms of income this week was the worst I’ve had so far this month, although still not bad. I am only an inch away from that $800 mark now and I have more than enough work next week to get me past the goal. I’ll be looking forward to tallying up the end of the month total!
I take back what I said last week though. I do need some more jobs! I have one phone interview set up for this week. I need to go back to hustlin’ and applying for jobs!

My garden was a late bloomer too. I pretty much gave up home earlier in the season but the tomato plants held out and now I’m eating delicious tomatoes (which always seem to taste better from the garden)! Thanks for always posting these freelance jobs. I need to get on that more and check a few out.

Thanks for the mention, Alexa! I’d love to chat about your salsa recipe. I haven’t tried that yet. I’m still trying to figure out what to do with the umpteen zucchini and yellow squash still sitting on my dining room table, haha! Great job on the freelancing, you are making great strides!!
