What I’m Reading: March Edition

What I've been reading for the month of March.Happy Friday!

I hope your week has gone well and that you are enjoying the first few days of spring!

Today I thought I’d mix things up a bit and share what I’ve been reading this month – both the books I’ve enjoyed and the ones that have fallen a little flat for me.

Reading used to be a big part of my life but over the past couple of years I slowly let it go. However, these last few months I’ve rekindled my love of reading. It started when I picked up several books at a flea market and has been going strong since.

If you’re looking for some new reading material here’s what’s been on my list.

Body Beliefs

For all the women out there who have tried relentlessly to change their diet, get healthy or lose weight you need this book.

Body Beliefs is an easy read that goes over all the ways women need to reframe their thinking in order to truly get healthy or lose weight. This is NOT a diet or weight loss book but a mindset book. In the end we all know how to eat healthy, right? It’s the implementing that’s the problem.

If you’ve wondered why you can’t stick to a diet or why you stop even after seeing results I think you’ll love this book. It was one that I couldn’t put down!

The Husband’s Secret

I don’t normally read fiction but one night not too long ago I decided to check out the best seller list on my Kindle and thought I’d give The Husband’s Secret a shot. I’m glad I did. I couldn’t put it down and the end of it had me thinking for a least a couple days.

At first I thought the book was a little hard to follow since it tells the story from a few different character’s viewpoints but after the first three or so chapters I was hooked.

Ego is the Enemy

I picked up Ego is the Enemy to read when I had a three hour lab test at the hospital. I thought it would keep me interested since I loved one of the author’s previous books but I could get into it.

The book is about how entrepreneurs need to stop letting their ego run the show. The premise sounded great but I found myself reading the book without even comprehending or paying attention to what I was reading.

It just didn’t do anything for me.

That was it for March. I have a couple of books I’m working on right now and will share those next month.

Have you read anything great lately that you just couldn’t put down?

I’m like that too, I normally don’t read fiction either. I read the novel which the movie ‘precious’ was made from. it was really emotional.

    also recent reads

    Big magic- by Elizabeth Gilbert
You look like that girl- by Lisa Jacub

    loved them all

Ooooo I want to read Big Magic. I’ve listened to some podcasts with Elizabeth Gilbert as a guest and really liked them.

These books sound interesting. I read some books this year that I thought were very interesting “Now I Walk on Death Row” and “Letters to an Incarcerated Brother” by Hill Harper.

The titles of those books sound like something I’d be interested in. Thanks for sharing!
